HARD TO FIT?
When can a foot be hard to fit? Every one is an individual so you can well imagine there are millions of different types of feet around. There are the main types of feet which are: thin, fat, short, long, narrow, and flat. The combinations are really endless, so you need to visit a specialty shoe store that can cater for all these different types of feet.

WHEN DOES A SHOE FIT?
When you go into a shoe store, can you remember the last time you were measured properly for your footwear? There are five main points to having your feet measured and checked for a correct fit. They are:
OVERALL LENGTH Checking the tip of the longest toe as well as the big toe
HEEL-TO-BALL LENGTH The great toe joint should correspond to the ball-joint "pocket" of the shoe.
TIP OF LITTLE TOE You can check this with your finger tip.
BALL WIDTH In adults shoes, a shoe should fit with a mild snugness across the ball, but avoid snugness here in children's shoes.
HEEL WIDTH Here, definitely, is where there should be a snug, firm fit on both sides and the back of the heel. The foot requires stability and security.
